This purpose of these pages is to set out the Faculty of Education. Health and Sciences policy, organisation, arrangements and procedures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all staff, students and other participants in the Faculty.

You should familiarise yourself with the procedures involving your work and subject area.

All work involving risk to Health, Safety and Welfare of people must have a full risk assessment for every task or procedure involved. This will particularly apply to those areas with a high risk, such as projects, laboratory work, field work, workshops, placements etc.

If, at any time the work, process or hazards change in a way that significantly changes the risks then a new risk assessment must be made.

Anyone not conforming to the correct standards may be liable to formal or informal disciplinary action
